First Nations health and wellbeing app that supports you like a family member, at times
which may be stressful. Use IMIGO to hold your medical information, plus who you are
culturally. So, during appointments, hospital status or other moments this information is at
hand, and at your discretion to share with others. Enabling you to develop better
relationships with health professionals, and hopefully improve your personal health
outcomes.
You can save details about your personal medical clinic, specialists, diagnosis, medications,
save appointments in calendar, record your BP and sugar levels, but also save who your mob
is, the communities, Country and animals important to you. IMIGO also helps you search for
health services close to you, count your steps each day walking on Country and stay strong
in your spirit watching short video’s of fire burning or water running etc. How much
information about yourself you store in IMIGO is up to you, and this information is not
shared with other organisations. Sometimes when were very stressed its just helpful to
know quickly how to spell our medical information. I sometimes feel my thinking freezes up
at these times. Plus, in these moments its important health professionals learn more about
us than simply our medical concerns, we are First Nations people, we come from Country,
communities, may speak a First Nations language, may hold significant caring roles to others
and most importantly may include more than medical interventions in our pathway back to
healing, health and balance.
IMIGO was developed by a Yorta Yorta woman and other First Nations peoples input.
